Superplasticizer
Superplasticizer, formally named high-range water reducer, is a key chemical admixture widely added to cement, concrete and mortar mixtures. It adsorbs onto cement particle surfaces to generate electrostatic repulsion and steric hindrance, breaking cement agglomerates and releasing wrapped free water. It can reduce water dosage to 15%–40% while keeping stable fluidity (slump). Mainly include polycarboxylate ether (PCE), and melamine-based superplasticizers.

SMF Superplasticizer
SMF is a typical 2nd-generation superplasticizer, synthesized by polycondensation of melamine, formaldehyde and sulfonating agents. It works mainly through electrostatic repulsion to disperse cement agglomerates, with moderate water reduction (15%–25%). It is widely used for projects requiring excellent early strength and smooth surface appearance.
